Last week, through Beau Photo in Vancouver, I was lent Fuji’s XF 33mm f/1.4 to try out, I wanted it for a trip to Prince George. Here’s what I found out.
I’ve carried the Fuji X-T50 every day since I bought it. It’s small and quiet and goes everywhere with me, which is the whole point of an everyday carry. The 33mm was the lens I’d been seriously considering, and for a week I got to live with it.
I was in Prince George emceeing the Northern BC Tourism Summit, so every frame was a bonus. No shot list, no pressure, just friends I’ve known for years and a lens that loves being shot wide open.
Modern glass is so sharp even at it’s widest f1.4, so I finally broke an old habit of stopping down. Almost everything here was shot at f/1.4.
Thank you to Beau Photo in Vancouver and to Fujifilm Canada. I’m sold.
